2003.09.29 from this town, we'd escape:

i set out to get a bunch of stuff done, this weekend. i wanted to do some writing. i meant to check up on the status of some amp repairs i'm having done. i should have encoded a new oxes show i got for transmission3000.

but what i ended up doing is seeing lost in translation, doing a whole lot of drinking, spent saturday farting around town with brooksie and then going to see my morning jacket rock their hearts out, last night.

and now i'm sitting here at work, almost ready to clock out for the day (night), feeling tired and down about just about everything. i never seem to get anything done. hell…even this post is feeling rather half baked. i've been feeling trapped by every little thing, lately. i've felt like i need to find the reset button on my life and press it a few good times.

just for the sake of argument, though….lost in translation was good. incredibly good. probably the best movie i've seen all year. funny and heartwrenching at the same time. if you haven't seen it yet…do so asap.

"Lost in Translation" is incredible. As was that My Morning Jacket show. I was incredibly impressed by the opening band, The Sleepy Jackson. I'd never heard of them before, but they did a great job of getting the show going.

Yeah…Lost In Translation was amazing. I can't say it enough. I'm gonna go see it again this weekend.

MMJ kicked some serious ass.
