i have to agree with you two... as much as i like Nader's politics, i think this year is a bad one for him to choose to run. while i don't think his candidacy will make any difference in this state, i'm afraid it will split the liberal/independent vote in other states to the extent that Bush could claim victory where he wouldn't have otherwise. What i wish we could do would be to either a) legitimize the third parties in this country so they would actually have a chance of winning, or b) get Nader to run as a Dem. If Nader ran as a Democrat, he'd have my vote and the votes of as many people as i could talk to.

I have to admit it... I voted for Nadar in the last election. I am an idiot. Don't get me wrong, I agree with a lot of what Nadar preaches. Growing up in that "punk" ethic, I have come to disagree and distrust just about everything to do with corporate America which I see as ever encroaching on our system of government. I would like to see some very radical policies to do with protecting our environment, overhauling health care, welfare, foreign policy and countless other topics.

But... I think voting for the Green party or Nadar or whatever, at this time, does not push America any closer to those kinds of reforms. If anything, I think it pushes us closer to right-wing conservatism because we are making it easier for Republicans to take power due to the splintering of any liberal minded voters. I haven't figured it out, but I think there has to be a better way of progressing in this country. One that doesn't do as much damage to our beloved America as this current path seems to try for, perhaps starting with just simple education. Too many Americans are just misinformed or misguided in their political views. Sometimes I wonder if Ralph Nadar is secretly Republican. Seems like it would be a genuis way to sabotage the Democratic party.

Needless to say, I will not be voting for good ole Ralphie this time around.

Oh and Brian, you forgot your misadventures chasing down and thwarting a drug induced purse snatcher.
