this bank and car business is one of the biggest clusterfucks i've ever seen. now that i'm back from round one with the bank, maybe i can divulge a little of this info to you…

first off: never buy a car that someone is still paying off. that doesn't involve one bank…it involves two. dealing with one bank is hard enough, kids. so i go to the bank, ready to sign the paperwork and get it all squared away…ready to drive off in my new car. well…the bank won't issue the check until the title is transferred at the clerk's office. no problem, right? except the guy i'm buying the car from says that his lending company won't release their lien on the car until they're paid. well…my bank won't pay until they have the title transferred, with their lien on it. sound complicated? try being a know-nothing financial non-wizard like m'self and having this bank guy bounce all this off your head. then try looking back at that bank guy and seeing that he's confused. yeah. sounds on the up and up, i tell ya.

well…my bank decided they'd get ahold of his bank and they'd work out their differences like good money lending institutions.

end result? i should be driving my new car by thursday.

moral of the story? don't tell your grandmother to meet you for lunch in the middle of all of this. i still haven't found her.
