2000.10.19 i can't forget:

so anyway…i like my new job quite a bit. it's a cool atmosphere, and the pay is rockin'. i'm still in the getting comfortable stage, though. which is probably made a little more difficult by the fact that one of my ex-girlfriends works here. i'm uncomfortable because she's the only girl to have ever dumped me for another guy. the killer was that he was this idiot, marilyn manson, magic card…dork. obviously this hit me right in the ego. and the whole scene was made uglier (by me, of course) and i flipped out, and i think the phrase "you're a psycho" was involved more than once. but hell…that was over 5 years ago, right? but i keep finding my mind wandering over there to her. she's still pretty attractive, and i wonder what she thinks of the new arrangement of us sharing a workplace.

or maybe i'm just an idiot. wouldn't be the first time…

so i was startled to see that bob from hey mercedes linked up transmission3000 on their site. cool.

there's a new, lengthy update over at kempa.com. adam better get on the ball. he's getting as bad as i am.

she kill. i die.

2000.10.16 cheap sex and sad films:

i'm sitting at work, loafing on my lunch break. thought i'd check in with a few handy links…

…like the amazing site for darren aronofsky's new film requiem for a dream. this site is simply astounding. i couldnt believe it when i first laid my eyes on it.

we watched radiohead on snl the other night. pretty damn good performance. they played the national anthem and idioteque. handy, because those are my two favorite songs off of kid a. you can watch it in real video over at lucky.

we recently registered the domain x13design.com. we haven't gotten around to getting it mapped to the server yet, but it should be taken care of within the week.

back. to. work.

2000.10.12 kill him already, kill him:

so i've obviously been listening to too much radiohead lately. four of my last six post have radiohead titles. kinda scary. but when you're the mack daddy of the fuckin' world, what can you do?

i've determined that you all have the attention span of a gnat with a.d.d.

so anyhowways, i'm working on putting some cool stuff together with saulgoodman so viewers of transmission3000 will have access to all kinds of cool goodies. keep you eyes peeled.

and i'm hoping to write a few features for lost at sea in the off time. maybe i'll be able to trick them into giving me a regular column? who knows.

looking forward to the integration of the links to posts that matt is working on. i have no clue why, but i'm looking forward to it.

adam updated kempa.com. it's about god damn time, but it's a lengthy update, and he explains his abscence.

word around the campfire is that sebastian's death wasn't an accident.

2000.10.11 i'm lost at sea:

so the radiohead show i linked to last night is fucking amazing. if you don't have it yet, you should move on over there and change that.

and through finding that show, i found this site. it looks like a solid site for news and more about everyone's favorite alienated brit-rockers, radiohead.

and if you can't get enough of that brit mayhem, stop over at cha cha cha. the guy seems to be quite a radiohead fan, and hell…he's using blogger.

in the spirit of linkage, robotix.org for some reason reminds me of louisville legends fuck the android. so far, there's been no flaming bats and smashed tvs, but i'm gonna keep my eye on that guy.

so i'm sitting at work, wasting time and making the big bucks (as opposed to what kinko's was paying me…). i'm still a little stunned that i get paid to sit here and browse the web and occasionally take a tech support call. i guess you can't beat that, huh?

it's been a wild past couple of days, and it looks like it's just gonna get weirder. i'm looking forward to taking my first conference call in relation to transmission3000, soon. i'm trying to hammer out a deal with saulgoodman that'll raise t3k's profile, and offer their customers some cool, free downloads. and hopefully…we might have some things in the works over at lost at sea, as well. keep your eyes peeled.

looks like matt and i are both having retarded girl troubles. i can't get this girl i'm really interested in to call me back. she says she's interested, but…man. what the hell? chicks are totally weird. and just in case you were wondering, yes, matt's current girl situation is a hell of a lot weirder than the scattered glimpses he's giving everyone.

so the point? if you're a cute girl and not crazy…drop us an .

that was probably the lamest comment ever posted to the web, but whatever. it can't hurt.

2000.10.10 this is really happening:

just a quick not from work.

i found this site today. they have quite a few high quality radiohead live shows in mp3 format. the standout thus far is from october 2nd of this year. as you can imagine, the live version of idioteque is fucking amazing.

possibly more tonight when i get home.

2000.10.05 morning bell:

quick update from work: i found the coolest, weirdest, most seemingly pointless site today. just plugged in the url and it worked…

more later when i get home.

2000.10.05 it's better to stay in bed:

man…of all the times when you want to smack your head against something. i have had to weather the most insane, depressing shoot down tonight. one that is so maddening and situational…it's driving me nuts.

anyhowways…i got a package from the wonderful guys in mt. st. helens. they sent me a copy of the cd and a t-shirt that i happen to be wearing at the moment due to situational laundry schematics. or something like that. anyway, those guys are the fuckin' coolest, so check out their site and tell them i said hi.

speaking of the coolest, stacy hilt is the man. too bad he lives so fuckin' far away. at least he has aol instant messenger

seth did not steal garrett's weed. end of story. (sorry about the horrible inside joke…)

thus far, i like my new job. if you're really bored, email me there. it may just brighten my day while i have to stare at this dude that looks just like dennis nedry tell me what ppp stands for. just for the record: i know what the fuck ppp stands for.

i'm out…sorry for the brevity.

2000.10.01 this isn't happening:

well i'm sitting here looking at a blank page. tomorrow i start my new job (after being let out of my kinko's commitments a couple days early). i'm sitting here reflecting on the past weekend, and maybe about the deep stuff…what have i really accomplished? at all, really? i mean…blah blah blah…i have the best website for live indie-rock, but really? anything?

maybe i'm just depressed because life and women just seem to wear me down. try living with your ex-girlfriend for a while. it's not easy.

but i should be more positive. tomorrow i start making what we refer to around here as "real money." and i get to buy the new radiohead album tomorrow night at midnight. not like i haven't had it for the past 2 weeks already, but hey…

adieu.

2000.09.29 laugh until my head comes off:

as the title may suggest (to those of you in the know) the new radiohead album has completely sucked my brain out. in response to adam over at kempa.com: i like it. probably for all the reasons that most people (although i haven't met a person face-to-face that didn't like it) hate it. it's completely what you didn't expect to hear from radiohead at this point. i'm not gonna sit here and extoll the virtues of ok computer and how it saved music; hell…i'm kinda partial to the bends. but kid a is fucking amazing. hands down. i'm into the bleeps and blips. rock out. idioteque is the coolest song i've heard in the past few weeks. but even adam admits that the new album just may grow on him… and for the people who care, here's a nine part radio one interview with the band.

another new album worth mentioning is the new bluetip. it's great, and the packaging is top notch. once again, jason farrell has outdone himself.

looks like weezer is finally going back into the studio to record a new record. it's about god damn time. sample quote from rivers: "A lot of guys can write songs that have nothing to do with their lives, and they're great, but I don't seem to be able to do that."

i'm excited about next month. it looks like transmission3000 will get to head out to nyc for the cmj fest. i'll be out there recording lots of live sets and passing out tons of flyers. so if you see me, honky, you better holler at me.

2000.09.26 now your smile looks serrated:

wow…23 days. fuck it. i don't care. i'm lazy. and i've been dealing with the death of my good friend sebastian. so on with the show…

i took my little sister to get her first tattoo yesterday. it was an altogether painless experience for the both of us. she seems quite happy with her new status as a "tattooed freak," so as long as she's happy…

i would have to agree with adam that almost famous is by far the best movie i've seen all year. if you haven't already, i recommend that you see it asap.

i'm slowly working out my last week at kinko's, getting ready for my new job at hsa. the pay and hours are tons better and i don't have to be repressed for being a heterosexual. don't get me wrong, i'm about the furthest from homo-phobic, but i am definitely in the minority, and the shit that goes down around that place is ridiculous. there will be a few people i'll miss seeing on a daily basis, but for the most part, i can't leave soon enough.

i think matt ( –>) is an evil alien bent on world domination. living with him, i think i have the keenest insight into this situation. i don't think crawling into a pod to sleep at night is normal human behavior. we are excluding michael jakson from any further pod-sleeping debates…

back to tony hawk 2. you may never see me again…
