everyone always acts like they don't know where louisville is, or they ask "is that in kentucky?" well…maybe now they'll stop asking us if we wear shoes.

well…through a long chain of events, i've opted to not attend the family thanksgiving feast. this actually works out, since i really can't stand certain members of my extended family, and dinner was being held right in the midst of that arm of the clan. i think i'm better off at home eating pasta alfredo, thanks.

other than that…i figured, since it was getting to be that time of year, i should update my wish list. feel free to browse it and buy me something nice. or not. no one is twisting your arm…

i got accepted to beta test the new star wars everquest-type online game, star wars galaxies. we'll see how awesome that game is, or if it's just a giant flop, like all of these other star wars games that rip off other popular platforms, trying to cash in on the craze…

i ended up taking the car stereo back to circuit city and found out that all the sony models even close to mine have the same problem with burned cds. the funny thing i noticed was, the problem only manifests itself when i play cds made in itunes. no matter, though…i opted to trade the stereo in for the better pioneer model. i only have to pay $65 difference and the installation is free. jackpot!

time to get back to doing a maximum amount of nothing…

well…the johnny king is home. he had a whirlwind trip to venice, italy, and now he's home. we went out wednesday night to celebrate and it carried on well into the next morning. all told, we had a blast. the hangover the next day was well worth it.

i'm starting to get rather pissed about how ridiculous the christmas season is getting. they're showing christmas movies on tv the week before we even hit thanksgiving. that's just stupid, if you ask me. we were out shopping prior to halloween and there were christmas decorations for sale. when will enough be enough? will we hit new year's day 2003, only to turn around and be told that we better get ready for christmas?

i'm sorry, people…i don't need to be reminded about christmas. it's kinda hard to miss. really.

remember that awesome stereo i was bragging about getting? well…it has problems. it doesn't like to repeat a cd in its entirety. it gets to the end and skips back three tracks and keeps playing those over and over. slightly annoying, to say the least. i'm taking the car into circuit city later this evening to have it swapped out for a replacement…

i somehow forgot to mention (probably because bipolar has been down for the entire weekend) that i have a couple of new reviews up over at 75 or less. read all about the new rocket from the crypt and shipping news releases. or not. it's not like anyone is twisting your arm.

it's wednesday. i'm off work. i'm in the middle of beta testing the new everquest game on the ps2. so far, so good. that is, except for the server going down on a regular basis. i also got a free copy of twisted metal: black online in the mail, so i can always play that, i guess.

other than that? i've been sick off and on for the past couple of weeks, so that's always a drag. there was apparently some serious power fluctuations at seth's house, so the transmission3000 server (also the home of coffeemonk.com) scored itself one burned out hard drive. seth got a new one shipped overnight, and as of right now, i think we're back in business. i uploaded a national acrobat radio performance from a long while back, but i haven't had a chance to design the page for it yet. i'll get around to it soon, i'm sure. the stooges footage looks great, from what i hear, so expect to see that soon, as well.

time to go play some video games…

well…i've somhow stumbled my way into a showing of some of my joycam pieces at an art opening tonight. i've been working at blowing them up to 8×10, and someone wanted to see them. the next thing i know, i've got myself an art show. the funny thing about this whole deal is that the pieces that found their way into the show aren't even the ones i wanted to do. i had to settle for a different series at the last minute. the ones in the show were actually hanging in elizabeth's bathroom until…oh…monday when i took them down to the space. heh. i only have scans of four of the six, but you can see them here:

well…halloween has come and passed. this one ended up being a lot more fun than the last few, mainly because scott and i got together with some friends and played a set as the stooges. we had fun. we wrecked massive amounts of shit. i was covered in beer and wounds i don't quite remember getting.
